Pups enjoying early snowfall in Metro Vancouver this weekend that are too cute not to share

As parts of Metro Vancouver experienced heavy snowfall this weekend, these local pups were loving their first snowy hikes of the season.

It's only October but parts of Metro Vancouver have already seen the first snow of the season this weekend.

On Thursday, Environment Canada issued a special weather statement warning of a modified Arctic airmass that could bring snow to higher terrain over the weekend.

By Saturday morning, the North Shore mountains were blanketed in snow and many Vancouver dog owners made the most of it by getting outdoors with their pups and enjoying some local dog-friendly hikes.

If you didn't get to enjoy the snow this weekend, you may still have noticed the unusually chilly temperatures in the City. In fact, on Sunday, Vancouver International Airport recorded the third-coldest October temperature since records began, according to Vancouver Sun. While the extra cold temperature wasn't very enjoyable for most, the early snowfall made for some very cute pictures, including a few by doting new dog parents who captured their pup's first time experiencing snow.

So if you missed the snow yourself, here are12 adorable pictures of Vancouver dogs enjoying their first snowy hikes of the season.
