On Thursday, Environment Canada issued a special weather statement warning of a modified Arctic airmass that could bring snow to higher terrain over the weekend.
By Saturday morning, the North Shore mountains were blanketed in snow and many Vancouver dog owners made the most of it by getting outdoors with their pups and enjoying some local dog-friendly hikes.
If you didn't get to enjoy the snow this weekend, you may still have noticed the unusually chilly temperatures in the City. In fact, on Sunday, Vancouver International Airport recorded the third-coldest October temperature since records began, according to Vancouver Sun.
