Fall is officially here and let's face it, nothing quite gets you into the autumnal spirit as much as throwing on a cosy sweater and taking a visit to a pumpkin patch.


It's the perfect fall experience, so why should your pup have to miss out on all the fun? If you want to take your furry bestie along but aren't sure whether they'd be welcome, here are 8 dog-friendly pumpkin patches near Vancouver that all allow your pup to join in the fall fun, along with some adorable local dogs giving you inspo for the perfect fall picture.


Visits may look a little different this year due to coronavirus safety measures, but you still won't have to leave your dogs at home while you find your perfect pumpkin!


Picking your perfect pumpkin is made easy at this beautiful Vancouver farm, as most pumpkins have already been harvested and are spread around the orchard for simple choosing.


As well as exploring the Old Apple Orchard, you can also meet some adorable farm animals including goats, chickens, sheep and horses.


Best of all, your pups are welcome to join you as long as they are on a leash and are not aggressive towards animals. Due to COVID-19, visitors must book a time-slot appointment in advance through the farm's website.

The opportunities for your perfect fall picture are endless at this Richmond Pumpkin Patch, which guarantees fun for whole family - including your furry bff.

Explore the picturesque pumpkin patch, pick your perfect pumpkin and enjoy the beautiful sights, the Corn Maze, and the various food vendors - all with your pup by your side.

Dogs are welcome on-leash, with the walk-out ticket only, which must be purchased online in advance this year due to COVID-19. Dogs should remain on leash at all times and owners are asked to bring their own dog waste bags.

There's lots of variety for a fun day out at this 80 acre dog-friendly family farm, including sunflowers, pumpkins, and animals - as well as a number of adorable farm dogs around who love people!


You can bring your dogs out into the 25 acres of pumpkin patch, through the barley maze, into the cottonwood forest and through the barns, as long as they are kept on leash at all times, cleaned up afterwards and are respectful towards the farm animals.


As part of their COVID protocols, Aldor Acres has introduced a drive-thru option where you can remain in your vehicle while experiencing the beautiful farmland, and tickets must be pre-purchased through the farm's website.

Whatever your pumpkin preference, you'll find it at Maan Farms, With a variety of colours, types, sizes and shapes, picking your perfect pumpkin will be a real treat - and the patch makes for an Insta-perfect fall photo backdrop - just check out the pics below!


There's also a carving station, a corn maze, home-made treats from the farm's kitchen and more to get you in the fall spirit.


Dogs are allowed at the pumpkin patch on select Dog Days, which can be found on the website's Fall at the Farm Calendar. They must be kept on a leash at all times and to avoid frightening the farm animals, they cannot enter into the petting zoo area.


Masks are encouraged, social distancing is required at all times and the farm asks that groups are kept to a maximum of 6 and, if you do bring your pup, be sure to pick up after them!

This family run farm's pumpkin patch is known for it's huge variety of pumpkins, making the picking even more of a fun experience for all the family.


Whether you're looking for a small Cinderella or sugar pumpkin for making pumpkin pies, or a super-size 50lb pumpkin for carving the perfect jack-o-lantern, you'll find it here.


Dogs are welcome to join you to explore the the sunflower patch, pumpkin patch, corn maze, and can come along on the hay ride - just be sure to keep them on leash at all times and clean up after them.


After you've picked your perfect pumpkin, you can also bring your pup along to the picnic area at Taves Estate Cidery.

This year sees two fall experiences to choose from at this popular local attraction. The Chilliwack Corn Maze Experience includes activities on the farm, two unique pumpkin patches, a 12 acre corn maze, and hayrides to the pumpkin patch, or you can opt for the Drive Up Pumpkin Patch Experience, with hot chocolate and other warm drinks available as well as a cozy fire pit to warm around.

Dogs are always welcome, but only on a leash to ensure they don't get lost in the maze. Due to COVID-19, tickets should be purchased online this year and large bookings will be not be available.
