Two Virtual Dog-Friendly Local Events You Don't Want To Miss This Month

Turn your dog into a social media star with this online pet photography class, then de-stress with dog-friendly yoga - both happening virtually this month.

Vancouver virtual dog-friendly events

Here at PawSwap we love helping local dog owners find events that you can take your pups along to. It’s kinda our thing.

So, like a lot of you, we’ve been missing all the fun events, classes and different ways to socialize with fellow dog parents in the city.

That’s why we’re very excited to see some local businesses getting creative during these very strange times.

Just because we can’t go along physically to any doggy events right now or attend any classes, doesn’t mean we can’t get involved virtually. The wonders of the internet!

Check out these fun dog-friendly online events coming up this month, grab a ticket for you and your pooch and join together virtually, and safely, with local dog owners in the area.

1. Become a Paw-parazzi Expert! | by Vancouver Pet Photography

As we all know, the perfect photo of our pups can be hard to get, but thanks to this virtual class, you never have to miss out on that picture-perfect moment again.

Most dog owners experience moments on a daily basis of our furry friends looking adorable (or ridiculous) that would make for the perfect shot.

Realistically though, our pups have short attention spans and are usually on the move, so that moment can come and go in an instant, and it’s all too easy to miss.

However, if you follow the right steps and have a little bit of knowledge in photography techniques, you can learn how to capture the moment every time.

Vancouver Pet Photography is hosting a virtual class on dog photography called “Become a Paw-parazzi Expert!” and all you need to participate is a phone - although a digital camera won't hurt either!

A quality photo can be framed on your wall at home, made into cards for friends and family, or become the social media post you’ve been dreaming of.

In these unusual circumstances, we’ve found ourselves in, there is more time than ever to learn new skills, so there’s no excuse not to finally take that class!

Become a Paw-parazzi Expert is taking place online on Thursday, April 16, 2020 from 5:00pm to 6:00pm.

The online pet photography class is being hosted by GetSocialBox - a new platform designed by a team of Vancouver entrepreneurs who are bringing a variety of online experiences to the community with the help from local experts and industry leaders.

It's providing a whole new way to learn new skills and stay connected with the communities and businesses that you know and love. This will be the first of many pet related virtual experiences that you can take part in, so make sure to follow them on Instagram to keep up to date.

2. Poses & Pups Online

Our popular dog yoga classes are back for one last time, but this time it's with a difference.

Obviously, with the current COVID-19 pandemic, we are all being as safe as we can and understand the huge importance of social distancing.

But we also know how much you guys, and your pups, enjoyed our monthly dog-yoga classes, so we had to bring it back for one last month - virtually.

That's right, join local dog owners virtually for an online class that you can take from the comfort of your home on Sunday, 26 April 2020, from 10:00am to 11:00am .

The online dog-friendly yoga class starts with 35 minutes of yoga with your dog, led by Annie Carr-Harris and is followed by a canine cool down with mingling, snacks and sips - just like the previous classes, but instead we'll be mingling virtually.

We’ve got post-workout swag with goodies for you and your pup (worth more than the value of your ticket!) which we'll deliver to your door with gloves and lots of love. It's a little care package for you and your dog, because who doesn't need an extra treat right now?!

There's limited tickets for this very popular event, and places sell out fast, so book yours now to avoid disappointment.
