Pre-order your kit full of local dog goodies that gives back to dogs in need

Sign up for Early Access to the next round of Dogs Supporting Local Kits and help Vancouver dogs in need.

Great news if you missed out last month - Dogs Supporting Local has announced a second round of their kits, and you can pre-order on their website to make sure you get your hands on one!

The kits, packed full of doggy essentials from local companies, give dogs owners the chance to treat their pup while also helping dogs in need - and they are hand-delivered to your door.

As the first round of Dogs Supporting Local Kits sold out within just one week, the DSL team is giving dog owners the chance to pre-order their kit 48 hours before the second round officially goes on sale - and you can sign up today to be notified ahead of launch.

The latest kits will be packed with a brand new selection of high-quality doggy essentials, all from local BC businesses, and will once again give dog owners the option to donate a free kit to a local rescue organization or pet food bank of their choice.

With the success of the first round of Dogs Supporting Local kits, launched last month, over $2000 worth of local pet products were donated to Vancouver rescues and pet food banks, including the BC SPCA' Charlie's Pet Food Bank.

"Being able to hand-deliver products for dogs in need in Vancouver last month was amazing, and we are so grateful that the local dog community is so caring," says Carly Geill, Marketing Manager at PawSwap.

"So many dog owners were willing to donate an extra kit and since selling out, we've had lots of people reaching out asking when they can get their hands on the next kit - so we've created a way they can sign up now to make sure they don't miss out!," adds Geill.

This month, the Dogs Supporting Local team has partnered with The Rescue Chain, a new Vancouver not-for-profit organization committed to reducing pet overpopulation and suffering of dogs through spay and neuter clinics.

By selling reusable face masks, The Rescue Chain has been raising funds for spaying/neutering dogs in need, including in Vancouver Eastside. The masks will be included in this month’s kit, and for each kit purchased, 100% of the proceeds for the mask portion will go to The Rescue Chain.

“Being a local rescue organization we understand the importance of community support. Everything we are able to do is because of the community around us,” says Alex Blumberg, co-founder of The Rescue Chain.

“We feel honoured to work with Dogs Supporting Local for that very reason of community support. The more success people in our community have, the more resources and support they are able to put back into the community to help continue growth. Supporting each other is so necessary for this to happen.”
