Pet Portraits Fundraiser for injured Australian animals happening this Friday in Vancouver

Animal lovers all over the world have been left heartbroken at news of the millions of animals that have died in the devastating Australian bushfires.

We’ve all seen the heart-wrenching images of injured koalas and kangaroos on our Instagram feeds over the past few months and more of these beautiful animals, and many others, are feared dead as each day passes.

Although it’s hard to calculate exactly how many animals have been killed in the devastating wildfires, estimates range from a terrifying 500 million to over 1 billion.

We all want to do what we can to help, and when we came across this local fundraising event, we thought our PawSwap readers would want to know about it.

Vancouver company Barking Babies are holding a Pet Portrait Fundraiser this Friday in their Homer Street store.

Photographer Ror Tio will be on-hand from 5pm - 8pm on Jan, 10, 2020, to take beautiful keepsake pictures of your pet for a $20 minimum donation – with 100% of donations going directly to WIRES Australian Wildlife Rescue Organization.

WIRES has been rescuing and caring for native animals in Australia for over 30 years and they need our help now more than ever. So, let’s pull together to do what we can!

If you’d like to do your bit to help, you can get a beautiful photo of your dog for a good cause this weekend.
