If you’re a dog owner who is on the hunt for natural grooming products for your pup, this newly-launched Vancouver business may be just what you’ve been waiting for.
As more and more Canadians are making the switch to natural products for themselves, Fraser Valley dog owner Sarah Born has created a line of all-natural, sulphate-free grooming products for dogs, inspired by her own pup Willow.
After trying multiple generic shampoos and unable to find anything on the market that was just right for her and her dog, Born enlisted the help of her mother to launch Jettsy Naturals - her own line of natural bath and body products, all made locally in B.C. “We got our Bernedoodle Willow just before the pandemic began, and I was searching everywhere for locally-made, natural dog shampoos for her when I realized just how few options there were available,” the Abbotsford mother-of-three tells OhMyDog!.
“I knew exactly what I wanted - a product with natural ingredients that is soft and gentle on the skin and smells great without being too overpowering, and so the research began!”
As Born had always wanted to start her own business inspired by something she was trying passionately about, and her mother Jeanette had been formulating her own natural products for years, they began working together to make recipes for simple and clean grooming products for dogs, and Jettsy Naturals was born.
The current range includes a deodorizing spray, shampoo, and flea and tick treatment for dogs in 3 different scents and, thanks to Born’s mum, there are also packages available for dog owners to treat themselves at the same time with a handcrafted, natural soap included for humans.

“Once you make the switch to natural products yourself, you don’t go back and now you can treat your pup to the same experience!,” Born tells OhMyDog!. “The scents are amazing, but not too overpowering and the sulphate-free, low-lather shampoo is gentle enough for pups with sensitive skin. Although only launched in June, the Jettsy Naturals product range is already getting rave reviews from dog owners, and according to Born, the Coconut Citrus scent is proving particularly popular. “It’s honestly summer in a bottle!”, she laughs. “The flea and tick treatment spray is amazing for dogs before a hike as it keeps them smelling great, and when you don’t have time for a full wash but want to get rid of that ‘wet dog’ smell quickly, the deodorizing spray is a life changer!”
