Could your pup be the star of the next BC SPCA calendar?

BC SPCA launch photo contest to find the cover model of its next calendar. Here's how to enter your pup's best shot.

Do you have a photogenic pup that was born to be star?

If your camera roll is full of adorable photos of your beloved pup, it's time to choose your favourite as the BC SPCA is looking for the stars of their 2022 calendar, and the contest is already open.

The BC SPCA Calendar Contest presented by Hill’s Pet Nutrition is back and this year more than ever they want to celebrate the furry friends who have been by our sides throughout the pandemic.

Participants are invited to upload their favourite photo of their pup - along with a little info about them - to the Calendar Contest website, and they are encouraged to invite friends and family to donate in support of their furry friend. The more donations, the more votes! The 13 animals (12 months and one cover) with the most votes at midnight on Feb. 28, 2021 will win a spot in the 2022 BC SPCA Calendar. If you don't make it into the top 13, your pup could still feature, as 'Hill’s Honourable Mention' will also be printed in this year’s calendar. “With the events of the last year, many of us have been able to spend more time than ever with our pets,” says Tess Repenning, senior manger of digital giving for the BC SPCA. “We know there are lots of animal-lovers out there with a camera roll full of pictures of their pets and our annual Calendar Contest is the perfect way to share them while raising urgently needed funds for homeless, abused and injured animals.”

If you want to celebrate your pet while supporting local animals at the same time, then enter your pup today. Find all the contest rules, and how to enter here.
