Many Santas are still laying low this season as we ease out of safety restrictions, but OhMyDog! has the scoop on where to find him for the perfect puppy photo-op.
Some places have even adapted the tradition with innovative solutions to social distancing.
So bathe ‘em and brush ‘em for the big day. Santa will know if they’ve been good little boys and girls!
Here’s where you can find Santa photos for your dog near Vancouver this holiday season:
1. Tisol (Arbutus location)
This event, also known as “Santa Paws”, features a real live Santa Claus with an entire weekend carved out of his busy schedule for your pooch. And your $20 donation goes toward the Thank Dog I’m Out rescue society, the Vancouver non-profit that re-homes neglected and abused dogs. Say cheese for a great cause!

Petsmart (Various locations)
We love Petsmart for inviting a Santa Claus into each and every one of its many stores in Metro Vancouver. 6. Willowbrook Mall, Langley
This is how much Willowbrook loves dogs. Their Pet-Friendly Santa Sessions take place after the mall is closed, focusing all the attention on quality pet time. Your dog will receive a free picture to remember Santa forever! (Enter through the Simply Computing/Winners entrance).

7. Capilano Mall, North Vancouver
Another mall to coax Santa away from the North Pole for your pup is Capilano, which offers four days for you to choose from. Appointments are required this season so don't miss out - book here to join the festivities.

8. Mindful Mutts, New Westminster
The good folks at Mindful Mutts weren’t going to miss a year of their popular photo tradition. So, with precautions like masks, vaxx passports, and distancing, you and your dog can still get that classic Christmas portrait. Your $20 donation goes directly to the West Coast Rottweiler Rescue.

9. KORNA Natural Pet Supplies
The dog lovers at Kitsilano’s Korna got creative this year so your dog can still get that festive snapshot. They’ve designed a decked-out selfie station - complete with props, lights, and a merry background - so you can get as many phone shots of your pup as you like.

10. Discover Dogs, Vancouver
Always an innovative dog company, Discover Dogs strikes again with a holly-jolly idea. Your dog can take a virtual photo with Mr. Claus this year. All you have to do is upload a picture of your pooch here, and you’ll get your masterpiece sent to you. In order to get your photo before Christmas Eve, make sure to submit and donate before December 18.
