Hoppy Hound COVID-19 Safety Plan

Last update: February 24th 2021

The PawSwap team has been working hard to find dog-inclusive ways to support local businesses while adhering to BC Provincial Health guidelines, rules and recommendations regarding COVID-19.

In order to stay safe and reduce the risk of transmission:

  • The activity is spread out during the month of March to provide a safer alternative to traditional one-day St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.

  • Each of the participating breweries have their own COVID-safety plan in compliance with provincial guidelines and WorkSafe BC requirements, which participants should adhere to at all times to keep themselves, and others safe.

  • Participants are reminded to only visit breweries with members of their immediate household, or core bubble as per the current provincial COVID-19 guidelines.

  • Participants should follow all current COVID-19 health and safety measures when visiting breweries, including physical distancing, frequent hand washing, and wearing a mask or face-covering when not at your table. If you are sick, please stay home.

  • As dogs are not allowed inside premises where food is being prepared or served, as per the Food Premises Regulation of the B.C. Public Health Act, participants will be required to use the outside seating areas provided by participating breweries.

  • Participants can take part in this activity at home, as pick up orders are also eligible for entries into the prize draw. All other tasks to claim entries can be completed entirely virtually.

  • Entries can be collected virtually through our website, or by scanning a QR code when visiting participating breweries, or picking up takeaway orders, to limit contact.
