Community and Marketing Coordinator

PawSwap helps dog owners connect with others in their building, neighbourhood, and community to watch their dogs while they work, or are on vacation in a safe, convenient, and completely free way. Who you are…

Community/Event duties include…

  • Planning, executing, and attending PawSwap planned dog meet-ups, and industry events. 

  • Designing collateral material including posters, flyers, brochures and social media graphics, using design software.

  • Work with team to implement and evolve the social media strategy across all platforms.

  • Coordinate photoshoots with our photographers and users for marketing collateral. 

  • Create, edit, publish, and share weekly blog posts for our Web Site.

  • Create, edit, publish, and share daily content (original text, images, videos) that is informative, engaging, and builds meaningful connections for our followers across all of our social platforms.

  • Create editorial content calendars and scheduled based on short and long term strategies.

  • Work to continuously improve initiatives by capturing and analyzing social data/metrics and report findings to the appropriate team members.

  • Actively seek out additional Affiliates and Partnerships and refer any potential leads to the appropriate team members.

  • Work closely with marketing team in executing marketing strategies.

  • Implementing promotional campaigns.

  • Source out, interview, hire, and manage marketing interns.

  • Perform relevant market research as assigned.

  • Execute strategies set out by the Marketing team.

  • Enrol in and participate in webinars.

  • Sign up candidates for our influencer program/takeovers.


Administrative Duties

  • Answer customer care and company phone calls Monday - Friday from 9:00AM - 5:30PM.

  • Manage general emails and correspondences in a professional manner.

  • Assist with special projects from the leadership team.

  • Purchase and receive office supplies.

  • Assist with data analysis.

  • Assist with creating policies, procedures, and manuals for the company.

  • Meet with our accountant once a month to deliver invoices, collect statements, and communicate changes.

  • Plan and attend office and charity events.

  • Any other duties as assigned.

  • Must love dogs!


  • 2 years administration experience

  • Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience leading social media and community engagement initiatives

  • Must have access to a vehicle and full BC drivers license 

  • Second language an asset

  • Diploma or Certificate
