Founded in 2015, PawSwap is a Vancouver-based community driven pet app that identifies dog-friendly businesses and locations, alongside their full dog policies, in one convenient place for dog owners. Dog Owners collect Points by visiting dog-friendly businesses and can swap them out for rewards that can be enjoyed with their dogs. We have a talented group of people on our team, and while we are growing fast, we place a high priority in finding the right candidates that fit the cultural integrity of the company. Beyond the app, PawSwap has an online publication called OhMyDog! by PawSwap (OMD), which is a hyper-local focused publication that provides dog owners with relevant and current news style articles, as well as useful posts and local vet advice.

Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, or designate, the Digital Marketing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating marketing and community events, assisting with the development, execution, and monitoring of email, digital, social media, and content marketing campaigns, creating original content, and conducting market research. We attribute much of our success to the strength of our Marketing team. To build on this momentum, we’re searching for a highly qualified Digital Marketing Coordinator. You will contribute to existing marketing programs, while assisting with the development of new initiatives aligned with company and client goals. The Digital Marketing Coordinator must be an organized multitasker able to handle many diverse projects at once and meet tight deadlines. Results are the name of the game and you thrive on monitoring and reporting on metrics. .


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage marketing campaigns, including coordinating and executing the marketing schedule, content requirements, coordinating print marketing designs and submissions, coordinating other digital marketing initiatives, coordinating event signage and collateral material design and printing.

  • Coordinate, schedule and maintain all Email/SMS marketing campaigns, manage email outreach, including determining schedule, developing content, writing copy, designing emails, monitoring results and refining efforts accordingly

  • Assist with managing and maintaining all social media accounts, creating and scheduling social media posts working closely with the Digital Marketing Manager, or designate, including creatin of a content calendar, selecting images, writing captions, scheduling posts, determining hashtags, engaging with audience, etc.; Develop an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and customer engagement metrics

  • Coordinate website updates for upcoming events and other miscellaneous changes to ensure content is relevant and accurate

  • Design graphics for marketing, event materials, and company documents using Canva

  • Coordinate necessary graphics with graphic designer

  • Provide event planning support including communicating with partners, organizing materials, and more.

  • Set up, refresh, optimize and maintain all of our PPC/Ad campaigns.

  • Work collaboratively with Creative Team to create engaging text, image, and video content for social media (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, ) and in ad creatives for paid digital campaigns

  • Assist with moderating social media accounts including facilitating online conversations with customers through various channels and respond to queries

  • Maintain our Marketing Calendar, liaising with the OMD, Sales and Operations teams to coordinate all Sales and Marketing campaign launch dates and times.

  • Stay up-to-date with changes in all marketing platforms, researching audience preferences and current trends to ensure maximum effectiveness

  • Monitor and report back on relevant data/metrics to measure the success of digital marketing efforts

  • Attend regular team meetings

  • Other duties as required

Experience and Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills - Top-notch writing and editing skills to create strong, and engaging, brand-infused copy.

  • Social media savvy – be familiar with the most current social media platforms and their effectiveness in promoting services and products to targeted audiences.

  • Analytical skills – being able to quantify and analyze campaign results and make recommendations on ways to improve or increase the success of marketing efforts

  • Attention to detail

  • Flexible and focused on solutions

  • Organized and self-sufficient

  • Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, diploma or certificate in marketing or a related field

  • Experience with Google Analytics, and Ads (Google, Facebook, Instagram)

  • Experience with Hubspot an asset

Salary: From $45,000.00 per year
